Colourful Indian design made using the Meenakari technique. Meenakari is the process of painting the surfaces of metals and ceramics through enameling. 

Meena means paradise or heaven in Persian and Kari means to place something onto something else. The word Meenakari means to place paradise onto an object.

This art form originated in Persia and later brought to India by the Mughals. The Meenakari style of jewellery was popularized by the aristocracy in 16th century Jaipur. The beauty of this art lies in the intensity of technical skills perfected by Jaipur artisans over generations.
